Terms of Service

Last updated: April 15, 2026

1. Introduction

ECHO is an AI-powered platform that offers real-time help during interviews—for candidates and interviewers. It can include live transcription, AI-generated suggestions, translation, evaluation signals, and coding feedback, depending on your plan and settings.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using ECHO’s websites, apps, and related services (together, the “Service”). They apply to everyone who accesses or uses the Service.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, starting a trial, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use ECHO on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity.

3. Use of the Service

We expect you to use ECHO responsibly and in line with applicable laws. You agree not to misuse the Service—for example:

  • No illegal activity, harassment, fraud, or harmful conduct.
  • No attempt to break, overload, scrape, or exploit the system beyond normal product use.
  • No interference with other users’ experience or our infrastructure.

4. Fair use policy

Some plans describe usage as “unlimited.” That means unlimited within reasonable, everyday use for the product—not automated bulk use, resale, or patterns that strain the platform.

If usage is unusually high compared to typical customers on the same plan, we may apply fair-use limits. That can mean temporarily slower responses, reduced priority, or short-term caps until usage returns to normal levels. We’ll aim to be reasonable and proportional.

5. AI disclaimer

ECHO uses artificial intelligence. AI outputs—including suggestions, summaries, scores, or code-related feedback—can be wrong, incomplete, or out of context.

You are responsible for how you interpret and use that information. ECHO does not replace your judgment in interviews, hiring, or technical decisions.

6. User responsibility

You are responsible for your own conduct and for content you submit or generate through the Service. Use ECHO ethically—especially in hiring and assessment contexts—and respect privacy and consent where they apply.

7. Data processing

To run ECHO, we may process audio, transcripts, text you enter, and related metadata needed to deliver features (for example transcription, translation, or analysis).

We handle data with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards. Details about what we collect and why are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed on the cycle shown at checkout—typically monthly or yearly—unless we offer another arrangement in writing.

Prices and plan details may change. When they do, we’ll give reasonable notice where required. Taxes may be added based on your location.

Except where local law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. You can usually cancel renewal so you are not charged for the next period.

9. Service availability

We work hard to keep ECHO reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, or third-party systems may affect availability.

Features may change, improve, or be retired over time as the product evolves.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ECHO is not liable for interview outcomes, hiring decisions, exam or assessment results, or any business or personal consequences that follow from using the Service.

The Service is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages (such as lost profits or lost data) except where the law does not allow that exclusion.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and refresh the “Last updated” date.

If you keep using ECHO after changes take effect, that means you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, you should stop using the Service.
